To get a sufficient hardness target values for triacetin vary typically between approximately 6%~9% of the total filter
weight. The application takes place in a spraying chamber where triacetin is applied to the filter tow as an aqueous aerosol. Different technical parameters of the spraying chamber, such as the number of brushes and their speed, are adjusted to achieve the most consistent application of triacetin.
